Things to Do in Anchorage This Weekend 

Heading into Presidents Day weekend, children and adults alike have plenty of events to look forward to, including performances of the Broadway musical 

The Musical," the return of the Anchorage Boat Show, a runway fashion show benefiting a local nonprofit, and a day of engineering-themed competitions for youths at UAA, among others. 

This show focuses on the boats, powersports, and accessories that Alaskans use for their outdoor adventures.  

Featuring a variety of exhibitors, including the Office of Boating Safety, NOAA, and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.  

Senior night lasts from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday includes hot and cold refreshments.  

Admission is $10 for adults and free for children under 12. Children can also pan for gold for free. 

As part of Anchorage's National Engineers Week celebration, students in kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to participate in engineering-themed games and challenges. 

There will be a tower shaking and breaking competition, a paper aeroplane distance challenge, an egg drop, bridge strength competitions, 'floatable moatables
