Taylor Swift will attend the 2024 Grammys, but she will not perform—here's why.

Taylor Swift is nominated for six Grammys this year, including Album of the Year for Midnights and Record of the Year for "Anti-hero."

According to Us Weekly and Entertainment Tonight

the singer will attend the February 4 event in Los Angeles, but she will not perform onstage, despite reports to the contrary.

Entertainment Tonight revealed why: she will resume her Eras Tour fewer than three days later, on February 7 in Tokyo.

There just isn't enough time for her to sing at the Grammys and then continue her globe tour on the opposite side of the world.

It's worth noting that the Japanese city is 17 hours ahead of Los Angeles, with a flight time of roughly 10 hours and 50 minutes.

Swift will return to the West Coast immediately following her Tokyo performances to attend the Super Bowl.

Travis Kelce, Swift's boyfriend, plays tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, who play the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas on February 11.

A source told Page Six that, due to the time difference, Swift will be able to return to Las Vegas in time for the game despite scheduling a gig in Tokyo on February 10.

"It's a brutal flight, but she'll get on her plane right after the concert," the person revealed
