Larry Bird: "You can get away with a lot of stuff when you've got the best player" on Phil Jackson's mediation and triangle offense.

Even after retiring, Larry Bird was honest about basketball.

Phil Jackson became known as "The Zen Master" for his triangle offense and meditation-based teaching technique

Larry thought it was too much, even if the NBA world praised him.

In 1999's 'Bird Watching,' the three-time MVP publicly highlighted Jackson's unusual technique

Phil maintained his greatness against the Celtics.

He did suggest that having Michael Jordan on the team may have made his style seem more successful.

There's been a lot of talk about Jackson and his Zen and meditation,

which all sounds like a bit much for me," Bird add

"You can get away with a lot of stuff when you've got the best player on the team."

Besides mediation, Phil's coaching was unconventional.
